Planned Actions
Utilize resources in the Soapstone area to go direct and indirect where appropriate to secure fire's edge and protect Piuta Camp. Continue to hold South end of fire along Duchesne Ridge. Continue to hold the southern and western flanks of the fire and protect YMCA Camp to the West. Take action to protect the the communities of North Fork Duchesne, West Fork Duchesne, and Hanna. Securing and mopping up slop-over near Heart Lake.

Forecast for Monday and Tuesday 10/28 through 10/29

Southwest winds will increase across the area Monday ahead of an approaching cold front. These winds may gust to near 30 mph at times. Moisture will begin to increase ahead of this front, with afternoon RH remaining in the 30% range while temperatures trend lower, and remain in the upper 40s and 50s. This cold front will cross the area Monday evening, with snow following the front Monday night through Tuesday. Snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches is expected through Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures Tuesday will remain in the 20s while Relative Humidity remains above 80% Tuesday.
